Reflective writing

I started narrowing down my new design ideas found over the easter break. I did this by adding elements of my favourite designs to each other coupled with elements of psychology (use of shapes, movement, colour and layout). I explored various ideas, such as interactive spaces, each room you chose will land you on one side of the building - telling you whether you are an extrovert or an introvert. I also considered various sizes of models and where they may reside. I decided that as i am designing this building towards the bran itself, an exhibition or museum would be the best option. this provided me with a better scale, location and context of the building. The space should be relatively one to two stories and be interactive. In order to add more layers to my design and visualise it better, i worked with digital drawings on procreate, this enabled me to visualise the space and better integrate biomimicry within the design. Triangles have psychological relevance and are perfect at translating organic matter into the three dimensional space. This is due to their ability to curve and provide strong reinforcement. Further triangles are aided by fine art references and have been proven to be the strongest shape for both architecture and providing information.
