Reflective writing

For my designer research I used a variety of designers, photographers and artists as inspiration as well as touchstone for my own designs. The use of shape and form is inspiring, as well as the mind bending use of architecture challenging the limits of what architecture inherently is. With this in mind and I wanted to move beyond the typical deconstruction and reconstruction of buildings making them inherently temporary. In order to achieve this I will focus on forming extensions of buildings instead of creating a new structure. This also ties in with the context of my project, as it will be focus in London. London is known for its old buildings which are protected, this will allows for a noninvasive integration of the past with the future.
